We had the chance to visit the Delta Police display at a local mall on Friday afternoon after our earthquake drill. The Delta police are an important part of our community and our school teams. Our school liaison officer Constable Usipiuk has visited our classroom on a number of occasions and the students enjoy his visits. Constable Couper became our tour guide and explained all the roles the police play in the community while visiting the various displays. She also let the students sit in her police cruiser and turn on the siren! Thank you for the excellent display and tour.
This is my fourth year as a District Behaviour Support and Intervention teacher with the New Westminster School District. My focus is on students who are having serious challenges with self-regulation across many domains - biological, emotional, cognitive, social and prosocial - at school, at home and in the community. My role is to provide support to teachers and teams to create an environment for success for the student.
