Here's a holiday wish to the students, families and my co-workers in the Jarvis Supportive Learning program. Enjoy your families, your well-earned break and some Christmas fun. Here are some pictures from our last day of school. See you next year!
Our final days at school were very busy! On Thursday we had a surprise visit from our Child and Youth Worker Curtis Joe Miller and his reindeer in disguise! Friday was filled with Christmas activities. Congratulations to Donovan and his excellent performance in Mr. Hirose's production of Dicken's "A Christmas Carol". We really enjoyed attending the play. We also shared our love of hot chocolate by making "Snowball Soup" for someone special. We even managed a Jingle Bell run outside. We ended the day by exchanging gifts chosen with care. Everyone liked their gift which shows that their Secret Santa had paid attention and searched their brain's Friend File for something special. We have been SO busy over the last two weeks. The Christmas break is almost here! Student completed a final chapter quiz on our Pattern unit in Math. I was so pleased with the results. Using the SmartBoard has made math content much more accessible! We are also finished our unit on information text. Students will complete a quiz on text features online. What fun! |
